The Original Crab Shack | Special Thanks

A thousand thank you's to "The Original Crab Shack" on Tybee Island, Georgia for being a Sponsor of the Savannah Art Walk! To all of our Art Walker's... if you are visiting Savannah this is an absolute must to put on your to-do list!

The Crab Shack began in the 1930's as a simple plot of 4 acres along Chimney Creek where locals could put their boats into the water... eventually, it became a campground of sorts and welcomed locals and tourists alike. In 1983, Jack and Belinda Flanigan were living in Atlanta, Georgia and saw an AD saying: "fish camp for sale" on Tybee Island, Georgia... once being purchased by the Flanigans, over time the "Original Crab Shack" was born! The first "bar" they ever had now serves as the hostess station. The Gift Shack and Aviary is the same building that houses the marina and bait shop since the 1930's...

The Original Crab Shack is open until 10 pm on Saturdays and we highly recommend making this your dinner destination following a busy day of being a Savannah Art Walker!
